Daytona Beach has a long history as a spring break destination. Daytona Beach has over twenty-three miles of beach that extend up to 500 feet wide during low tide. Daytona Beach spring break visitors get to play directly on the beach of the Atlantic Ocean.

Daytona Beach does allow vehicles on the beach for an access fee. However, there is a one-mile zone in front of the boardwalk where vehicles are not allowed. Atlantic Avenue is the main road running north-south through Daytona Beach.
